[ARCHIVED] SSO Due West Statement 04192022

On 4/19/2022 at 3:00 p.m. Paulding County responded to a high level alarm at Due West lift station. The control panel indicated that there was a pump failure. At 3:30 p.m. two manholes began to overflow. Pump trucks were called to pump the station down. The manholes overflowed intermittently while pump trucks were dumping the previous load. Times were logged while manholes were overflowing and a total sanitary sewer flow is estimated at 11,040 gallons. The overflows discharged into Due West Creek.  Bypass pumping was set up and the overflow was stopped completely at 8:30 p.m. Signs were placed at the creek and lime was applied to the affected area on 4/20/2022.
