Animal Control

Function

The Animal Control Department is responsible for the enforcement, investigation, and prosecution of violations pertaining to the animal control ordinances of Paulding County.

The Department maintains a humane shelter environment for lost and unwanted animals, which it cares for until they are adopted, reclaimed by their owner, rescued, or humanely euthanized.

Hours

Enforcement Hours

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays:
    8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • On-call for emergencies only on Mondays, holidays and after hours

Shelter Hours

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays:
    Noon until 4 p.m.
  • Saturdays:
    Noon until 6 p.m.
  • Sundays:
    Noon until 5 p.m.
  • Closed on Mondays and holidays
