Training Division
The Training Division of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is charged with conducting training courses for all Deputies and Detention Officers, ensuring all maintain their Georgia POST credentials and certifications. In 2016 Paulding County Sheriff’s Office employees received over 25,000 hours of training.
The Training Division is dedicated to providing quality training to our Deputies and Detention Officers as well as the numerous outside agencies which attend training at our facility.
The Training Facility is equipped with various tools and resources for deputies. Some tools include:
- 20 lane pistol range
- 100 and 200 yard rifle/long gun range
- Obstacle course
- Live "shoot house"
- Multi-use classrooms
- Judgemental Use of Force Simulator
*The Paulding County Sheriff's Office Training Facility is for law enforcement only and is not open to the public. It must be noted that "In-service Training" and "Open Range" days on the Training Calendar are only for personnel of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
