The Paulding County Board of Elections conducted a 100% hand recount of the December 6, 2022 General Runoff Election. For one and a half days, the Election Staff, and 27 audit teams audited 58, 873 ballots that were cast in the election held on December 6. The runoff election was between Herschel Junior Walker (R) and Incumbent Raphael Warnock (D). All cast ballots were accounted for with a difference of 2 ballots. The Board of Elections and Director Deidre Holden would like to thank the staff and all participants that made this audit successful.

WITH THE CONTINUING GROWTH OF PAULDING COUNTY, THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS IS LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL POLLING LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO GET OUT OF ALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND MOVE TO THE MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS. LOCATIONS MUST BE ADA COMPLIANT, HAVE PAVED PARKING, AND A LOT OF PARKING AVAILABLE.
CHURCHES, COMMUNITY CENTERS, CLUBHOUSES ARE GREAT LOCATIONS. SHOULD YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION, PLEASE SEND THE NAME OF THE LOCATION, AND THE ADDRESS TO DHOLDEN@PAULDING.GOV FOR CONSIDERATION.
