• Provides training for firefighting, rescue, and hazardous materials
• Researches and evaluates equipment for safety, effectiveness, and efficiency
• Utilizes equipment and apparatus to ensure that personnel are:
  • Trained to a high level of proficiency
  • Able to use the equipment and apparatus in the most efficient way
