Mission Statement

The core mission of Paulding County Department of Transportation is to provide a safe and efficient roadway structure for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists in Paulding County. The County maintained infrastructure system includes 995 miles of road, 57 bridges, 46 signalized intersections, 49 school flashing beacons and 9 flashing beacon assemblies. The Paulding County Department of Transportation performs this duty with 67 full-time personnel.


In order to accomplish its stated mission, the Department of Transportation is organized into four (4) divisions. These are Maintenance, Traffic Operations, Preconstruction and Construction.

Georgia Statewide Transit Plan Survey

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is completing a Statewide Transit Plan and is seeking input from all Georgians. GDOT will coordinate closely with local jurisdictions, regional transit planning entities, such as the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority (the ATL), metropolitan planning organizations, and transit providers for this statewide effort. Local and regional transportation plans will be integrated into the Statewide Transit Plan, documenting needs for public transit and prioritizing future transit projects. Your input is valued.
