This position is responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the E-911 Center. This position assumes the duties of Director in his/her absence.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience. • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. • Possession of or ability to readily obtain GCIC/NCIC certification.

Demonstrated management/supervisory training and experience in a similar sized agency (Georgia POST Supervisory and Management Certificates or the equivalent desired). Working knowledge of: InterACT Public Safety Systems Computer Aided Dispatch systems; SolaCOM or similar Next Generation E911 telephone systems; Trunked radio system operations; Digital voice recording systems; NENA addressing standards; Microsoft Office; Georgia Open Records Laws; Paulding County streets and highways. Possession of or ability to readily obtain: Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Instructor certification or equivalent. Georgia Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) Certification Public Information Officer training/certification Incident Command System (ICS) training (100, 200, 300 and 400) Skilled in: public speaking; interpersonal relations; oral and written communication in dealing with the public. |
