Everyone needs to be prepared for natural and man-made disasters that can overwhelm a community's ability to respond and to begin to recover. The information provided on this website and Ready Georgia is intended to help everyone to be ready for the unthinkable events that may threaten our future.

Function
The Paulding County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) provides support to local officials, businesses, and citizens to plan and prepare before disasters strike.

Disaster Declarations
When a major incident occurs, the County EMA conducts a damage assessment that may result in a disaster declaration. A disaster declaration can provide assistance to individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and local governments.

The EMA office supports state and federal disaster relief programs and coordinates immediate aid to families by local community service organizations.
