Children are virtually defenseless and are vulnerable to becoming victims of society’s ills.

Every year hundreds of children in Paulding County become victims of crimes such as physical and sexual abuse. The mission of the Crimes Against Children Unit is to protect the young citizens of Paulding County by conducting thorough investigations of reported criminal activity where a child has been physically abused, sexually abused, neglected, or kidnapped and bring the offenders to justice.

The Crimes Against Children Unit also applies experience and training to proactive programs such as Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Community and School Presentations bringing awareness to activities that can lead to child abuse.

The Crimes Against Children Unit is an award winning Affiliate of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC).
