Paulding County SPLOST 2017 – 2023
Your Pennies at Work!
Since the late 1980’s Paulding County Citizens have voted to support a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program (SPLOST). The special election is to be held on May 24, 2016 to determine if the SPLOST program will be renewed.

The SPLOST represents a way for Paulding County, the City of Dallas and the City of Hiram to raise funds for projects, which would otherwise be funded by general funds (such as property taxes). With this one (1) cent sales tax, money is raised for some of the County and the Cities improvements when an item is purchased within Paulding County – by residents or by visitors to our County.

If the Citizens of Paulding County vote to continue the upcoming SPLOST, collections would begin in April 2017 and continue through March 2023 and are projected to raise approximately $110,000,000.00.

SPLOST funds are shared between Paulding County, the City of Dallas and the City of Hiram.

Paulding County - 86.9% ($95,590,000)
City of Dallas -       7.3% ($  8,030,000)
City of Hiram -       5.8% ($  6,380,000)
