Welcome to the website of the Clerk of Superior Court of Paulding County. This website will enable you to become aware of various records and services available to you through this office. We are here to assist you with filing, recording and retrieving the various types of public documents which are filed in Paulding County.

The office of the Clerk of Superior Court is an elected office. You elect the Clerk of Superior Court to administer the proper registration and retention of official documents. The types of records include civil and criminal proceedings, real estate and various other vital records. The Clerk of Superior Court also administers the jury system.

The Office of the Clerk of Superior Court consists of three divisions:

  • The Judicial Division
  • The Real Estate Division
  • The Business/Administrative Division

The Judicial Division

The Judicial Division is responsible for receiving, filing, processing, storing and retrieving civil and criminal court records. This division supports the superior court judges by managing case files and attending court. The Judicial Division is also responsible for filing, recording and indexing fifa’s and UCC’s. This division issues Notary Public Commissions.

The Real Estate Division

The Real Estate Division is responsible for receiving, recording, processing, indexing and reproducing all documents related to real estate.

You may obtain copies of the following documents:

  • Administrator’s Deeds
  • Executors Deeds

The Business/Administrative Division

The Business/Administrative Division provides many services.

These services include:

Accounting/Court Registry

  • Accounting and purchasing for clerk’s office
  • Receipt and distribution of funds paid into court

Jury Management

  • Responsible for summoning of jurors, this department provides many services vital to maintaining a highly efficient jury system

To Locate Records In The Clerk's Office

Judicial Records

To locate judicial records, it is extremely helpful for you to have the following information prior to coming to the courthouse:

  1. The name of the plaintiff or defendant
  2. The date the case was filed
  3. For divorces, the date the case was filed or date of final decree

This information is used to search the court index to find a case number. We will be happy to make copies of any document within the case file (except adoptions). Certified copies may be obtained by request.

Real Estate

To locate real estate records, it is extremely helpful to have the following information prior to coming to the courthouse:

  1. The buyer’s name (grantee)
  2. The seller’s name (grantor)
  3. The date of the transaction

This information will be used to search the real estate index to find a book and page number. We will be happy to assist you with any copies.

Passport Applications

U.S. Citizens planning international travel may now apply for their passports at The Clerk's Office  Tuesday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
