Paulding County Service
Tony Henderson grew up in Paulding County. He went to work at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 as a Jailer, and he was promoted to Patrol Deputy later that year. In May 1988, he graduated from Floyd Junior College Law Enforcement Academy. Tony served in the Warrant Division from 1988 to 1992 and achieved the rank of Sergeant.
Tony returned to the patrol division in 1993 and was promoted to shift captain. He became one the first Field Training Officers (FTO) for the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in 1994 after becoming a State certified FTO. Tony successfully completed supervision training in Forsyth, GA and remained a shift supervisor until 1998. He has received training in many advanced law enforcement courses.
In 1998, Tony expanded his experience in to the civilian work force where he spent several years in the media industry as a Circulation Executive. During this time he attended numerous business and personnel management classes.
Tony returned to the Sheriff’s Office in 2008 and served as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division. In 2010, Tony was promoted to the position of Division Commander and is now responsible for overseeing the Warrant/Civil Division in the execution of civil process orders as directed by the courts and the service of criminal warrants.
He loves to travel and spend as much time as possible with his family.
