Paulding Public Safety Appreciation, Inc. will be hosting their 2nd Annual Paulding Public Safety Appreciation Day and Family Festival on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport located at 570 Airport Parkway Dallas, GA 30157. Everyone is invited out for a day of fun and excitement for the entire family.
Paulding Public Safety Appreciation (PPSA), Inc. works to provide financial assistance to public safety personnel living in Paulding County who have been injured, disabled or killed while performing the duties outlined in their job description to include training and certification requirements. “As citizens of Paulding County, we greatly appreciate the men and women of public safety and recognize the value of their service to our community,” said PPSA, Inc. President Micah Gravley. “Their commitment to our well-being affords us the quality of life we all enjoy and provides a safe environment for our children and families.” He added that PPSA, Inc. was created to help provide financial support to the protectors of our community during their time of need. The annual PPSA festival raises financial support for public safety personnel living in Paulding County who have been injured, disabled, or killed while performing the duties outlined in their job description. PPSA, Inc. will work in partnership with state and local public safety departments and offices to insure the well being of those who have experienced life changing and/or life threatening circumstances, even death, while serving the citizens of our community.

• Paulding County Health Department
• Paulding County E-9-1-1
• Georgia State Patrol
• Air Life Georgia

You will be able to meet and greet members of law enforcement, fire, rescue, EMTs, emergency dispatchers, and much more. The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) unit will be conducting FREE inspections of your child’s safety seat, and you may also have your child fingerprinted. There will also be demonstrations to learn about Neighborhood Watch, Home Security, Cyber safety, Fire Prevention, and First Aid. You will also learn about 9-1-1, Crime Scene Investigations (CSI), SWAT, K-9, and much more.
Guest appearances by Capt. Herb Emory with AM 750 as well as your local and state officials are expected.
Helicopter flights over the event will be offered by Alpha Helicopter, Inc. Every pilot with Alpha Helicopter, Inc. is a police officer and a FAA certified helicopter pilot. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime chance to fly over the festival.
There will be food and entertainment all day long including inflatables for the children to jump and play. Opening ceremonies, including the Presentation of Colors and the singing of the National Anthem, will begin promptly at 12:00 noon.
