As promised, we will start posting the names of convicted individuals in state illegal dumping/litter charges. Please keep in mind; this is our second posting for the June 2017 citations since they were just completed in the judicial system.
In June 2017, we worked a total of 88 state illegal dumping cases. In July 2017, we worked a total of 36 illegal dumping cases and 50 unsecured load cases. Of those cases, we had three convictions for littering or illegal dumping. The offenders are listed below:
*Grayson Hamilton was convicted of illegally dumping litter on Unicoi Dr. off of Colbert Road.
*Christian Benjamin, Jr. was convicted of illegally dumping litter on Yorkville Pass.
*Angelique Entrekin was convicted of littering on Hwy 278 at Butler Industrial Drive.
One important note, not all illegal dumping’s will have a conviction. At times and depending on individual circumstances, our officers will determine a different route with an illegal dumping. We may require some kind of community service, essay writing for younger offenders, or cleanup of the site and other sites in lieu of a conviction. We also have many cases in which some of our older citizens were scammed and their litter was dumped while the true offender kept the money. The Marshal Bureau is very active in cleaning up Paulding County and while we want to punish the offenders, we also want to see a clean Paulding County. We will be posting monthly from this point forward of all state offenders who have been convicted. Please help us spread the word.
