On Saturday January 7, 2012 volunteers from Keep Paulding Beautiful held the annual “Bring one for the Chipper” event in Hiram. A total of 891 Christmas trees were recycled. 641 were mulched and 250 were provided to individuals for use as fish habitats. All of the mulch generated from the event was given to local residents. There were a total of 12 volunteers with 4 from Paulding County Government and 2 volunteers from the City of Dallas. All other volunteers were Keep Paulding Beautiful Board Members or their spouses. It was a great event and it was a pleasure to provide this service to the citizens of Paulding County.
