On 1/15/2023 Paulding county staff received a high wet well alarm. After arriving on the site at 4:30, the crew found a manhole overflowing and inspected the pumps at the pump station. The pumps were found to be clogged and pump trucks were mobilized to site to reduce the level of the wet well while the pumps were being restored to service. At 5:30 p.m. the pump station was restored to service eliminating the overflow. It is estimated that 9000 gallons spilled onto the ground leading to Rakestraw Creek. Signs were posted and lime was applied to the affected area.
