On 7/31/2022 at 4:50 p.m. water dispatch received an alarm through the telemetry system. Personnel were dispatched to the Due West Pump Station and arrived on scene at 5:45 p.m. immediately stopping the overflow into Possum Creek. The pump was placed into manual operation and upon arrival on site electricians replaced a faulty relay. It is estimated that 25 gallons per minute for 55 minutes overflowed a manhole and into Possum Creek. The relay was replaced and the station was returned to normal operation. Lime was applied and signs were placed at the creek.
