On 4/15/2022 Paulding County staff received a high wet well alarm. After arriving at the site the crews realized from the panel readings that the main pump was malfunctioning. At 11:30 p.m. the manhole at the station began to overflow. Bypass pumping components were ordered and installed. The spill was stopped at 4:30 a.m. It is estimated that 9400 gallons spilled onto the ground with a portion of the spill going into Rakestraw Creek. Pump trucks were used to haul waste and limit the overflow. Lime was applied to the affected area.
