On 11/29/2021, Paulding County Collections Division received a high wet alarm at 8:50 a.m. The crew was already in route to the station for routine maintenance. When they arrived at 9:00 a.m. they discovered the level transducer was hung up and giving a false level. The manhole at the golf course located at 100 Golf Links Drive was actively overflowing. At 9:15 a.m. the overflow condition was corrected. The manhole on the golf course is directly aligned with an underdrain that leads to Westbrook Creek. It is estimated that 8,523 gallons spilled onto the golf course and into the underdrain. Lime was applied to the affected area and signs were placed at the creek.
