The Paulding County Sheriff's Office Training Facility
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office opened the first phase of its new training facility in December of 2014. The new facility is located off of West Memorial Drive in the back of the Dallas Industrial Park. The address to the facility is 284 Dallas Industrial Drive Dallas, GA 30132. The first phase consisted of the construction of a 20 lane pistol target system with state of the art turning targets, running man target, and metal pop-up steel targets.
The second phase of the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Training Center opened in December of 2015. The main portion of this phase consisted of a multi-use class room/office building. Included in the building are three class rooms, offices for the training staff, conference room, an armory, as well as male and female locker rooms. Also constructed in the second phase of the project was a 100 and 200 yard sniper range, a shotgun range, and an obstacle course.
The third phase of the project was completed in July of 2019 and consists of a live fire "Shoot House". This structure will allow law enforcement officers to conduct live fire shooting exercises in a safe environment. These type of buildings are a huge asset to law enforcement officers and allow them to conduct extremely realistic training courses.
In the future, the Training Center will also have the following:
- K-9 Agility Course
- Rappel Tower
- Driver Training Track
