What We Do
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office Juvenile Division is comprised of five units:
- Crimes Against Children
- Gang Intervention
- Juvenile Criminal Investigations
- School Resource Officer
The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Criminal Investigations Division conducts investigations of crimes committed by juvenile offenders. The Criminal Investigations Division works closely with the Paulding Juvenile Courts to address proper discipline and to ensure that the welfare of children involved in crimes is taken into consideration.
School Resource Officers
The Juvenile Criminal Investigations Division also works in unison with the School Resource unit with crimes that occur within the Paulding County School District
The Gang Intervention Unit monitors known or suspected gang activity and works with School Resource Officers for Intelligence gathering as well as Gang resistance Education.
Who We Are
Major Ava Davis has helped develop the Juvenile Division into what it is today. Major Davis was integral in the creation of the Crimes Against Children Unit and Sex Offender RegistryTracking units. Major Davis also commands the Youth Services Division(School Resource Officers (SRO) and DARE Instructors) along with the Juvenile Investigations Division.
Lieutenant Tracy Parker is the Commander over the Juvenile Criminal Investigations and Gang Intervention Division. She has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since 1991.
Sergeant Fred Berke oversees and conducts Gang Intervention and Juvenile Criminal Investigations.
