the opening of absentee ballots cast in the may 24, 2022 general primary/special election we begin monday, may 16, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the county administration building on the 2nd floor in the board of commissioner meeting room located at 240 constitution blvd., dallas. the opening of absentee ballots will continue as needed through 7:00 p.m. on tuesday, may 24, 2022.

friday, may 13, 2022 is the last day for voters to request an absentee ballot for the may 24, 2022 general primary and the post 3 special election. in order to receive an absentee ballot, applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. est.

redistricting precinct cards are arriving in voters mailboxes this week (5/9/2022). this card is for you to keep. it informs you of your precinct/polling location as well as your political districts. there is a change of address card attached. you do not have to complete this card and send it in, unless you have had a change in your address. you do not have to present these cards to vote. if you have not received a precinct card, please contact the election office at 770-443-7503. redistricting precinct cards were only issued to voters that had changes in their political disticts due to redistricting. 


WE ENCOURAGE OUR VOTERS TO WATCH THE INFORMATIONAL VIDEOS BELOW CONCERNING THE ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATION PROCESS AND THE COMPLETION OF THE ABSENTEE BALLOT PACKET TO BETTER EDUCATE AND INFORM SO THAT EVERY ELIGIBLE VOTE COUNTS.

Notice is hereby given that Cynthia Starke-Jones, a candidate for Post 3 Commissioner SPECIAL ELECTION ONLY, has been disqualified from seeking office in the May 24, 2022 POST 3 COMMISSIONER Special Election.

 

As required by the Official Code of Georgia, Title 21, Chapter 2, Section 6(b)(c), “all votes cast for such withdrawn candidate shall be void and shall not be counted.”

 

Ms. Starke-Jones was disqualified on May 6, 2022 @ 9:00 a.m.
